Abstract for Research Report This joint research aims to communicate between researchers in computer algebra and industry to examine the prospects and future research directions for promotion of application and collaboration of computer algebra with industry. Especially, we focus on several topics on the development of (mathematical) softwares for industrial problems - machine/deep learning, pattern matching, and the others. To accomplish our purpose, we plan to invite leading researchers actively working for application and/or collaboration of computer algebra with industry to share their practical experience and/or ideas. Furthermore, we gather information on problems and/or potential applications of computer algebra in a broader range of field in industry, then discuss ideas for solving their problems. As a consequence, we expect to promote application and/or collaboration of computer algebra with industry by encouraging communication between researchers in computer algebra and in the field of application area.
