Abstract for Research Report Card-based cryptography is a technology that uses a deck of physical cards to realize cryptographic functions such as secure multi-party computation and zero-knowledge proofs. The last IMI short-term joint research in May 2023 aimed to increase the number of newcomers to our field by publishing a list of unsolved open problems in card-based cryptography. Not only the list of unsolved open problems in the report, but also the lecture videos and lecture materials, which are widely available, can be referred to. As a result, the number of papers on card-based cryptography in Japan and abroad has turned to increase, indicating that the event was very well supported, especially by newcomers Based on this situation, we have concluded that the short-term joint research should be continued on the following two axes. Firstly, the aim is to increase the number of opportunities for young researchers to give presentations by reserving a larger number of invitation slots and sharing new interpretations and insights into their research through dialogue with senior researchers who are familiar with engineering and science (especially Mathematics), to encourage them to take their research to the next level. As a representative, I would like to ensure that the event can also function as a platform for exchange between young researchers and senior researchers. Secondly, the aim is to brush up the list of unsolved open problems by sharing issues that have been solved over the past year in response to the unsolved open problems obtained last year, as well as adding research questions from new perspectives. We believe that these two axes will contribute to an increase in the number of new researchers joining the project as well as an increase in the number of research areas.
