Abstract for Research Report |
Recently, machine learning has made a significant impact on industry, and it is not only being used in various commercial products but is also becoming indispensable for improving the efficiency of industry and developing new products. Therefore, the reliability and robustness of machine learning methods, including neural networks and deep learning, are required. To this end, the construction of mathematical theories and methods based on the theories is highly important. In this workshop, we focus on scientific machine learning that can be applied to industry, including methods for physical modeling and simulation. Specifically, this workshop will bring together researchers who are working in the related fields, and provide an opportunity to discuss the mathematical aspects of these methods and strengthen collaboration among the researchers, thereby contributing to the development of reliable machine learning methods that can be used to accelerate physical modeling and simulation, and to the promotion and development of these methods in industry. |
