This workshop is a follow-up to the “Topological Data Analysis and Industrial Mathematics” workshop held in August 2025, focusing on applications of Topological Data Analysis (TDA) in data science and industrial mathematics. This edition places particular emphasis on Medical Image Analysis, a field in which TDA-based applications have recently been especially active. Through interdisciplinary exchange across machine learning, linguistics, and engineering, the workshop aims to pursue both theoretical rigor and practical relevance beyond simple methodological applications. To achieve these goals, the organizing committee brings together expertise grounded in academic research and industrial experience. Yuya Tokuta draws on his extensive industrial experience to serve as a bridge between academic theory and real-world demands. Minjung Gim, drawing on his experience at an Industrial Mathematics Center, leads research discussions connecting industrial problems with mathematical methods. Keunsu Kim, drawing on his experience organizing the TDA workshop in 2025, ensures the continuity of the workshop series and oversees effective network management. In addition, by leveraging the organizers’ academic networks in Korea, the workshop will invite prominent Korean mathematicians and industrial experts, thereby promoting research collaboration between Japan and Korea. |
