| Objectives and Expected Results |
This workshop is jointly organized by the Industrial Mathematics Center at Pusan National University (PNU FFMIMC) and the Institute of Mathematics for Industry (IMI) at Kyushu University, located in the geographically close cities of Busan and Fukuoka. The primary objective of the workshop is to promote mutual exchange among graduate students and early-career researchers by sharing research topics in mathematics and its industrial applications. To ensure the workshop’s success and high-quality outcomes, the organizing committee actively leverages its diverse expertise. Karin IKEDA draws on her four years at Kyushu University to promote student participation and organize student-centered sessions. Hyun-Min Kim, building on his experience operating PNU FFMIMC and serving as Director of the National Institute for Mathematical Sciences in Korea, contributes to speaker invitations and the academic program. Keunsu Kim manages the institutional network between PNU and Kyushu University, overseeing the workshop based on his experience with the IMI Joint Usage Research Program. This workshop serves as a platform for fostering continuous interaction between the two centers, encouraging natural networking among participants, and exploring possibilities for future collaborative research or student exchange. |
