| Abstract for Research Report |
The main aim of ISMI2026 is to strengthen the partnership between the industrial mathematics global communities through the following objectives: 1) To facilitate international knowledge exchange by supporting the participation of invited industry and academic speakers from various countries at ISMI 2026 through travel sponsorship. 2) To promote international networking and research partnerships between Malaysian institutions and overseas universities, research centres, and industry players. 3) To enhance the quality and impact of ISMI 2026 who contribute cutting-edge perspectives in industrial mathematics and real-world applications. 4) To support capacity building and talent development by exposing students and early-career researchers to high-level international expertise and industrial problem-solving approaches. The expected results of ISMI 2026 are: 1) Academic Impact: Peer-reviewed papers will be published in WoS and Scopus-indexed journals, including MATEMATIKA and Springer Proceedings, alongside technical documentation in the IMI Lecture Note Series. 2) Technological Advancement: Research will reinforce mathematics as the core of AI, applying predictive analysis to solve industrial challenges. Innovation is driven through a Quadruple Helix model, uniting academia, government, industry, and the community. 3) Sustainability & SDGs: By promoting efficient resource allocation via mathematical models, the program directly supports SDG #4 (Education), #9 (Industry),and #17 (Partnerships). |
